Peter Bell is a bit of a case - if the stories of how he left NM are to be believed, quite a case, but he was a fantastic player and captain for us when things were really tough, and set things up for the Pavlich era.

He was Freo's Allan Border; he continues to work for the club, and he's got all the brownie points he needs with me.

As to his "Freudian slip", and his alleged anti-Freo tone in commentary; – give me a break; you're hearing what you want to hear, and that's you're problem, not his.
