Rookie players are not flushed with $$$. He's playing to put food on the table. He's desperate and is playing like every game is his last. Clearly he's improvement has come from he's desire to never give up. I hope the guys who are not getting a gig, are feeding off his performances.

Grey is currently participating in the AFL coaching accreditation course and was an assistant coach for Freo's women's team. He has aspirations for coaching in the future...

Its a fine line between going in hard and overcommitting and looking like a dill. Some of our older players had become too scared of overcommitting and looking like dills, so they didn't go in hard enough. I think Roly needs to explain to some players that if they start hanging off contests waiting for something to happen, they will be doing that at Peel - no matter who they are.

Agreed Morgan. He was brutal and lively, loved his game but comparisons with Carr bros or ballas are way off. Ballas won leading goalkicker in WAFL and possibly sandover (?) the year before he was drafted and in his prime was one of the best small forwards in game. Both carrs were very good, tough mids...25+ possessions every week. Grey gets 15 touches and 5 tackles per game at WAFL level and 10 touches at AFL level. Back pocket plumber with some fight is what we should be hoping he can become!

Brady has been my and probably most supporters favourite of the kids so far and a big part of that is his attack on the footy and man. He is exactly what Dutchy Deboer used to do for us, sitting on a half forward flank and applying physical forward pressure with disposal that is questioned by some.

I hope he's allowed to push into the middle at times and influence play where Dutchy was left to rot deep forward.
