No one can convince me they used the same game plan yesterday as they had the previous 2 weeks. Completely different, and I suspect - as a result of RoLy's moribund after-match pressers, he didn't have too much say in what happened out there. Yes, Mundy didn't end up in the forward line by mistake, and yes, a bit of intensity and pressure around the midfield ball does make your backline look half decent, and gives your forward line a chance.
But, the run out of the backline, the intent to switch back to the corridor, rather than down the line or backwards, and the 'want' to get the ball forward in every instance - or at worst sideways - was not the 'gameplan' (for want of a better word) that they were using in the 1st 2 weeks, and most of last year.
I think the players went with their heads yesterday, and freed themselves from previous shackles applied.
Good on them!, and I hope we see more of it. !!
