Zac Dawson parked for extended periods at Peel.
If it were up to me, I’d see if we could not even consider picking Zac until at least round 7 or 8 (or even the last 1/3 of the season). It is time they give Collins a decent run of it and see how the backline gels without Dawson in it for an extended period. I’d say this is Dawson’s last year and the non-stop fisting will come to a halt, so better see what options we have.

Time to make the set-pieces happen more at a micro/contested level, but once the ball is clearly won allow some free reign for the players to make snap decisions and make mistakes. This year with wins being lower down the priority list players can have pressure valve released from the get go. Plus the recruitment of Brad Hill and hopefully maturing of Weller make this more possible.

Looked liked it worked and fits well with the style McCarthy plays and makes him very awkward to match up on.
At some time this year play Pearce, Pearce, Hill, Hill, Bennell, Griffin, Walters, Johnson, Hamling (if possible Grey too) in the one game.
It’d be great to have the record to ourselves and smash it to boot. And really, that’d be an awesome team.
Brady Grey upgraded to the seniors.
We’ve got the room and I’d like to see Grey in because he’s goes at it hard and it’d be great to have a small backman who can have a chance at shutting down the increasing number of dangerous small forwards in the game.
