Yep, the dogs playing half their players off a limited pre-season vs a side who were full strength and had something to prove, who could have predicted that result? Oh wait, my sportsbet account just went up rapidly, I guess anyone who looked at the matchup.

It's really not hard to see we were at full strength and trying pretty hard vs the OOFTIT's in very different circumstances to the Dogs tonight. Using tonight's game as an excuse for our best side getting thumped last week doesn't work.

I'm not sure who you're trying to convice Biz. Its ok for the dogs to go half throttle but its not for us. Did you give any cosideration that the Eagles were on 12 day break after Gero and we had to front up 7 days later. And that other then Nic Nat, they were at full strength. The Eagles had the luxury to go full throttle and with their team listed, they did, then see you later until 2 weeks time.

There are just too many possibilities that blind apologists use to justify a bad loss, but for me none of them are credible when it comes to a derby loss of that magnitude.

Supposedly we fielded a team of professional footballers to play a game of football - Tabs managed one mark, The Spack had a one disposal game (a handball), and Cam Sutcliffe was out third best player on the park (behind Mikey and Fyfe) with 9 disposals and 4 tackles. That isn't a football team, I don't care how big and well equipped your locker room is back in Cockburn, if you can't play football you shouldn't get on the bus.

We should've just waved our white-lace hanky outside the ETAF and got onto more promotional work.

Why is it so hard for you Jezza to believe we were actually trying and got belted? There's really no reason the players on the field shouldn't have been giving it their all and they were, they weren't anywhere near good enough or playing with any kind of decent system. Comparisons to other teams who were playing in completely different circumstances that are pretty easy to see don't make sense.

As for Saturday we've got our absolute best side on the park with Sandi and Neale back from injury, playing at home against another side bringing over their best. It'll be another accurate indicator of where the side is at.

Yes, I am still scarred by his dropped mark vs Hawks late in the 2015 PF and have made it known I dont think he will ever recover or be trusted in a pressure environment again.
He struts around like hes a star of the comp. Hes gone wing, back and now going in the midfield (sniggers) as thats where he feels most comfortable..
I read on here someone compared him to a young David Mundy.....Please!
He was pick 16 in 2011 draft - This is his 6th year.
What am I not seeing??

I've always believed that pre season games are a waste of time. Teams have got different agendas every week. For example getting minutes into players, playing them out of position and giving draftees their time in the sun. Then there's the curse of copping season ending injuries. So if you can gauged how well a team is going based on these performances, then you're a genius. Based on previous pre season comps, teams that perform extremely well don't quite make it to September. The AFL are making us pay to watch nothing games. Let's start the season early like the NRL and get cracking. I can guarantee there won't be any hidden agendas behind a team's performance if that was to happened.
