Teams that could do with Barlow:

Brisbane - Need experience, cant afford to keep getting flogged (in terms of membership and sponsership)
Gold Coast - Same as above + they lack hardened ball winners
Carlton - leadership, ball winners, lack depth
Saints - if they genuinly want to transition from 'building; to genuine finals contender
RIchmond - obviously..they havent gone for rebuild so must be aiming for finals. Barlow is upgrade on Grigg, Ellis etc
Adeliade - midfield depth, scott thompson type player
Port - they are nowhere atm...weak midfield

He has to get picked up..look forward to seeing him dominate in a team that give him minutes through midfield

I gave you the reasons why we keep Barlow when we're rebuilding Spud, maybe you missed my post? He's also 5 years younger than the likes of Mitchell and the Hawks haven't gone into a rebuild yet anyway.

I don't consider those recruits we brought in young if they've spent 6 years playing AFL football, that's only a couple less than Barlow and he's apparently too old. 'Young' is a draftee or someone who's only had a couple of years in the system and still has plenty of development in them. Players who will be 24 next season are already the full package so if they aren't able to secure a starting spot in opposition teams, I don't see how they are our saving grace when we're losing so many quality players like Pav and Barlow.

Barlow is going to be a much better influence on those draftees and be of much greater use over the next 2 years till they take his spot, similar to the likes of McPhee and Soloman.

We bring in a YOUNG WA kid who was a walk up starting 22 member of a dynasty triple premiership winning side and people still complain. Freo could win a premiership and I'm sure people would still find a reason to sulk here.

I'm saying 6 years is a long enough period to develop and show your worth. If you haven't done a lot by the time your 24 as an AFL player, chances are you aren't going to (unless you're a ruckman but even then that should be long enough). Barlow has proven himself as an elite AFL level clearance machine. Sure we have a couple of others but you can always use more in the side, especially with the inevitable injuries we cop and the other areas they can be utilised.
