I thought Barlow, Ballantyne and Silvagni would have some sort of trade value but it seems they have none whatsoever

Barlow and SCOS only have trade value if clubs believe they will be contracted to Freo next season and won't be able to get them for free as delisted free agents. Ballas only wanted to stay in WA which meant if Freo wouldn't deal with the OOFTIT's he had no chance of leaving assuming he was ever serious about going.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Pick 7 is like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you're going to get. Either Jack Martin or O'Meara are outstanding talents. Thats why they were picked up in mini drafts as concessions by the Suns. The big picture is keeping our man Fyfe in Purple. There's a target on his back and they're coming. Freo must play finals next year or he's out the door.

So where to from here? I'd be looking at shoring up our backline and a bit of succession planning for our ruck division. I think our forward line is starting to look really healthy and our midfield is strong. My preference would be to pick up Griffin Logue with Pick 7 and hoping that either Josh Rotham or Tim English are still around for Rd 2 Pick 40. Logue looks ready to go -
"POS: Key defender, Ht 194cm, Wt 92kg, DOB 13/4/98
From Swan Districts/Western Australia
The West Australian key defender was a star at the combine, recording a 9:58 minute 3km time trial and being the equal winner of the beep test. He matched the endurance efforts with being top-10 in the repeat sprints and taking out one of the running vertical jumps. The weekend at Etihad Stadium proved what many had seen coming for a little while: that Logue is one of the most bankable big defenders in the pool. He could play straight away, such is his body size, maturity and athletic profile. Logue is a good intercept marker and helps out teammates, too..

You pick the best available at Pick 7, and hope he'll be the next Nat Fyfe. Not sure if Logue is the best available at that point. But if we're sticking to the WA talent, then I'd put him in front of SPS. though there are better talent than both of them, if clubd before us get their man.

I'm just sorry that Jaeger O'Meara didn't slip though to Essendon in the draft. I was looking forward to all the 'Jaeger Bomber' puns.

Gold Coast has landed selection ten in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft and multiple future second round selection in a series of deals that will also see Jaeger O'Meara get to Hawthorn.

On the final day of the exchange period, Hawthorn manufactured a deal with Carlton to enable the Hawks to table an improved offer to the SUNS allowing Gold Coast to generate an additional future second round draft selection from the Fremantle Dockers.

Can someone please remind me of how we lost a future second round draft pick? I've lost track of the trades because I've been focused on how I'm getting to the new stadium in a couple of years.

AFL Trade site showing us as giving a future second round pick tied up with O'Meara deal. Where did this happen? What do we get?

Not sure if that's correct. You can't give up something for nothing. There's no such thing as a free lunch. It's not April Fools Day, is it Shane?

Would that be one from the Bennell deal last year? That would be indirect and not really how it would transpire per se.

Apparently Rhys Palmer has been traded to Carlton for pick 135. I didn't know they went that high. Or is it low?
