More then a few problems there Jezza. O'meara won't agree to a trade as he wants to go to Melbourne. He will knock it back and go to the Dons. Suban is a Vic that is contracted, Ballas is contracted and wants to stay in WA and Gold Coast have already said they are not keen in Barlow. The only chance we have is he noms for the national draft and makes it through to our first pick. Unlikely

Latest talk is the Hawks to trade pick 10 to Sydney for 14 and 17. This then on traded to GCS for O'Meara. Should Freo trump the Hawks and offer Pick 7 for Sydney's 2 first round picks? I think it has some merit. English is a good chance of still being available at 14 and possibly Logue or Bolton at 17.

Why would Sydney do that? Would have thought 14,and 17 was worth more than 10. Unless you have a specific player you desperately want, but there is a chance he'd be gone by 10 anyway.

Would 7 plus Barlow and Suban be worth throwing at Gold Coast? It is the injury worry that limits everything in the O'meara deal but I am loving how Gold Coast are breaking Hawthorns balls over this one. Hope they stick to their guns.

Brad Lloyd mentioned that the Kersten deal is in motion and should get done before dateline. And that Ballas, should remain a Docker after today. My view is that, Pick 7 bundled up with Barlow, Ballas and maybe Suban/Sheriden and use it to get Jack Martin if O'Meara's injury is a problem. I still reckon O'Meara deal will get done in a complex deal.
