There have been many great moments where the great man showed to all and sundry why he will always stand as a legend amongst legends of the game for us Freo people.
There was a moment that always comes to mind when I think of why he stands so tall for me. It was the last quarter of the game against the cats; the game Dimwitrio wanted us to lose in geelong: the qualifying final of 2013.
We were in front in the last quarter and the cats were throwing everything at us to pinch the game. Pav's great moment wasn't a goal nor a mark but an almighty spoil. In the dying minutes of the game Pav runs close to a hundred yards to get his finger tips onto the ball to effect
A great spoil that would otherwise have given the cats some serious momentum to finish off the game.
Pav always lead by example and that was one of those moments.
