PD - I share your pain, only worse. Years ago I posted here about Sam (who was a standout schoolboy athlete that I was fortunate enough to see first hand) and got roundly shouted down.

His time with us was marred by injuries but he should have been worth perservering with. Added to the fact that he is a terrific young man it is just so pleasing to see his hard work and great footy attitude starting to pay off.

Im hoping someone from the club reads my post about Clem Smith who's had limited opportunities with Carlton this year and take a punt on bringing him home...

What this continues to show is a lack of quality in our recruitment team!
Menegola - let go after showing good signs with Peel and now staring with Geelong
Roberton- let go and now a regular and quality defenfer with the saints.
Mcgoverns - both overlooked and playing well with Eagles and crows
Priddis - wanted to come to Freo with peter German, and grabbed by eagles after being overlooked in 3 drafts.
Adams - we could have got him before the bulldogs

One top player during Bond's time(Neale), one who shows great promise(A Pearce)and a possibility(Blakely). The rest are dead average or worse, or too young or inexperienced to make a decision on yet.

Jeb, Roberton was not 'let go', he knocked back a contract as he wanted to return to Melbourne for family reasons - ie a pregnant gf. He's been a busy boy, 3 kids by the time he turned 25

So we kp Meegola AND Mora on our list and play 2 short for 4 years? We can get away with 1 but not 2 (or 3 if you include Apeness) Doesn't sound like a good policy to me. And I wouldn't say Roberton has set the Saints on fire, no more serviceable than Zac, Spurr, SCOS or Ibbo.

Can I use the 18 losses as a detail for having a whinge?

Maybe it would be easier just run through the conditions under which a complaint could be made. I reckon Bond could put a blind, one armed squirrel in a purple jumper, convince Ross to call him a developing forward and some people would call it treason if it was argued that the club erred in taking the squirrel in the second round of the draft instead of perhaps waiting and using a later pick.

Menegola is gone from Freo, let it go, he is still not playing in the firsts so no change in his status as a player. Even if we got him back next year to play in the middle he would have to dislodge one of the following, Fyfe, Mundy, Barlow, Neale, Blakely.
