You're using games played to indicate good and bad recruiting.

If more games played means a better recruiting year then more games played means a better player. Which means that the decision to recruit Clancee Pearce was a better decision than the one to recruit Michael Walters.

It's a nonsense figure.

I reckon the last 2 years of recruiting with the draft order has been pretty dam good. We gave away a second round pick in this years draft for Yarran but he looked electric in the first quarter last week when we were actually moving the ball well. Hopefully the Harley's can fire next year and we might look back on it as amazing in the years to come. So happy the McCarthy thing fell through last year that would have put us back a bit.

At least separate out trades from ND choices for starters.

I wasn't slow to provide an alternative, my solution was to keep bloody harvey, win premierships in 2012,13, 14, and reload. Not headhunt a one trick pony with delusions of grandeur to grind out any semblence of creativity in our players, bore supporters to death, and then drop us off a cliff. And not listen to rah rah johnny come lately Steve apologists with their manky stats. Want more?

I keep forgetting that we were premiership favourites before the 2012 season began - on the back of winning an elimination final in 2010.

For some reason we got rid of about 20 players between those two dates - even though we were supposed to have the most talented list in the country.

But it's the injuries only that have killed us this year and we shouldn't expect to be much better than Essendon. Even at the start of the year when we had the three and only three decent names missing we lost all games including a thrashing at home from GC.
And as for the recruiting, the fact that we can't cover or having nothing coming through for a 34 yr old ruckman is okay?
We have one promising backman(Pearce) and one unsure(Collins) to cover for the retirement of McPharlin, a continually injured 32 yr old(Johnson), Dawson-31, Silvagni-29 and that's okay?
We have one frustrating not really up to it yet forward(Tabener)and an unknown quantity who needs to show a lot more(Apeness)to cover for a retiring 34 yr old legend in the forward line and that's okay?
