OK Im not a huge follower of any media, but when did the two footy clubs sign on the dotted line to use the stadium? I know its a 99% given but...

You guys do realise it's a survey right?? I'm guessing from the plethora of 'extremely unlikely' responses they receive (mine included) to most of the questions they'll get a very good feel for how they need to package the memberships.

I'm afraid I didn't get that far into the survey. I answered the first couple questions then got the following message:

'Thank you for your interest in the survey. We've identified you as a cheapskate bogan who will fail to meet the minimum spending requirements and minimum dress standards at the new Perth Stadium. However, feel free to make your way over to the Crown Entertainment Complex with whatever money you have in your pockets, and in whatever you're wearing, and the staff will gladly welcome you into the gaming areas of the casino'

Felt like I was filling in a survey for the Ritz hotel....club lounge, canapés, valet service.....WTF.

Some of the marketing guff coming out of Stadium central is laughable. They have no idea who they're selling to. They only have this idea there are aspirational money-burners they'd love to pull in. Buggered if I know where they'll find such Melbournite sounding footy yuppies in post-boom Perth.

While it's pretty obvious the Steve's struggle in regards to leading a footy club -you'd think they'd have some business nous though and would have thought through the effect and timing of sending an inflammatory survey out to their clients that basically asks the them if they 'd like to fork out thousands more "for an up market game experience", when the client group is disgruntled about their lack of performances in their key service area (aka winning games of footy).
Talking about prodding the bear!

$3,000 x 50,000 = $150,000,000 so if 1% of members take up the "offer" that is $1,500,000.

I know they are only testing the waters (maybe our patience) but really how about some questions on what members might want themselves rather than a bunch of marketing spin.

Maybe they could of asked us how important it is to relocate with the same people, view of the oval, ability to see into the coaches box, get in/out of the venue.

What the unintended consequence of this survey is that we are now questioning the value of our membership. We could take out membership of our nearby WAFL club see football on Saturday walk to the game once a fortnight and go on good holiday every two years.

So after outsourcing the "research" and trying to deflect the blame/responsibility (which you can't as the email came from the football club not the marketing company) the club has pissed us off.

So currently the team is struggling to get a kick in a stampede, I am feeling like the club is trying to gouge us and in all of this has fogotten the reason we go to the football is to watch the game and hopefully celebrate a win.

It's the eagles that need a 60,000 seat stadium, not freo. Freo should stay at Subi and let the eagles go to Burswood.

Subi is dilapidated but I have managed to live with it so far.
