Ok just getting voice back after a night of explaining to the umpires where they were going wrong and telling them what I thought of them and their families.
Plenty of up side in that game!
Not perfect but given the previous 6 weeks it's an improvement. First game that we have played four quarters in a long time and it was fantastic to see Hilly hit some form.
I guess it just what you choose to see

In 2001 we won two games. In 2002 we won 9. In 2003 we won 13 and finished fifth.

I'd be more than happy with a similar trajectory over the next couple of years. The real question is whether we can take the next step in the following couple of seasons to grab a flag while Fyfe / Walters / Bennell / Hill etc are still in their primes.

Yep 2016 is a twelve month extended pre-season, no point in getting all gussied up when finals are off the table. Games into the young blokes, test the entire list, stuff around with the game plan till the balance is right and draft in some young guns or trade for the likes of Hogan. Make sure we give those servants to the club who retire etc, the send offs they deserve. Keep the blood pressure low till next season and enjoy watching some raw talent develop into the next crop of champs for our club.

Everyone spruiking the advantage of an easy fixture next year need to hold on.
We play everyone once, that leaves 5 games of which one will be WCE.
That leaves 4 teams we play twice.
The AFL will no doubt shaft us anyway they can when they realise we may be tanking.
We will get the premiers twice, the sleeper twice, the unlucky twice and the chronically injured in 2016 twice all off 6 day breaks.
