Who has played well until half time.

Sheridan has used the ball well. Dawson's done the negating role. Neale's got a bit of the ball but always under pressure.

Weller's offered up some effective pressure acts without getting much of the ball.

Have I missed anyone, or been too generous.

That goal was a thing of beauty though. Two scrubber kicks, the Big Griff bananas it 10m. Mayne to Mundy who chips to Ballas. Who wants to play on too close to the man on the mark. Gets called, takes the long route on his left boot and spots Walters 15m out.

Credit where it's due - the Bulldogs have been quite magnificent. Sharp handball pace to space and good kicking at the right time.
No mater how well we would of played I think we would be behind at the half. Missed 2 sitters , but when you kick right down their throats not a lot you can do.

At the game the sun is shining and the etihad roof is open.
Unless the dogs forfeit the game it's hard to see us win from here.
Mundy seems to be playing behind the play to help a weaker defense the mids are playing behind and chasing behinds our talks are getting out marked our forwards miss set shots best for us ..... Maybe a defender they seem to see more of the ball... I did say see didn't I?
We r all optimistic but it's going to need a massive digit extraction to do any good.

I couldn't see any clear deviation of the ball off the goal post padding so how did they decide that there was sufficient evidence to over rule the goal umpire? I am sure they will say later that the decision to over rule was incorrect.
Pav on report? The bump was high but contact was made with the shoulder.

Way too optimistic, Dockerplus.
The problem with expecting our defence to win games while our forward line struggles to score, is that when you go behind by 5 or 6 goals you have no real prospect of a come-from-behind win.
Even with three more quarters of football ahead, you just know the game was already over at quarter time.
We do not have the means to score an unanswered 5 or 6 goals on a decent team.
That depresses me. I am tired of our defensive tactics. They haven't won us a flag. I don't even care about the flag right now. I just want to see exciting attacking football.

What's going on? The Bulldogs are playing really good modern footy, but some of the stuff they're getting away with is mystifying. The umpires are only watching one team. I'm going to say it: the game is bent, it's stacked against us and the result seems almost pre-determined. May as well have sent Peel reserves. Right now, I can think of lots of better ways of spending $1600 than buying annual footy memberships for me and the wife.
