If we cannot get McCarthy this year who else should we go for and what do you think we need to give up to get them
looks like we now have a good chance to get Harley Bennell bit of a gamble but if he commits to Freo like Walters we have another star.

Get McCarthy. If we've given up one of our next two first round picks for Bennell, then a player is needed to get that deal done.

Take any one of Barlow, Mzungu, C.Pearce, De Boer, Sheridan or Crozier. Can't fault these blokes efforts but with the possible exception of Sheridan, I think they've all played their best footy for us.

Am I the only one worried about west coast swooping on Bennell and leaving us empty handed again.

Yeah, Bennell may relate to their theme song ..."We're Flying High"

How could anyone go to them ?
I cant believe how easily the folded !
Any other team worth anything would have put up some sort of a fight , be it go to plan B or just to change something .
Start a fight ? something to mix it up , not just GIVE IN like they did .
Soft c#$%s the lot of them !

I'm a big fan of Schadenfreude and like what i see there. Hubris has shown some good signs earlier in the the season. I'm definitely over Due Diligence though-talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.

Okay, so back to trades. I just saw this suggestion: Chris Dawes for Zac Clarke - and I'm wondering what you all think. It seems to be a little out of left-field to me, but what do I know? Here's the link.

No1 priority should be to get Jesse Hogan home

To get him and play hard ball at the same time, without giving away too much to get him. Time for us to dictate terms of a trade, not the other way around

There has been some wild lose talk about Hogan coming home prior to end of contract so Melbourne does not get screwed like it looks Adelaide will be with Dangerfield.

To me Dangerfield is worth something like Judd was.

Carlton gave up draft picks three and 20 along with young key forward Josh Kennedy, in return for Judd and pick number 46 from the Eagles.

Hendrix for Dawes?

They basically had the same stats this year, with Dawes playing his natural position, and Hendrix playing out of position as a forward. Hendrix is 25 (still youngish for a ruckman), Dawes is 27. Dawes actually had fewer tackles and one-percenters.

What's not to love?

Dawes would play one game per year, when we rest most of the team in round 23.

I'm with the Corporal on this. Fritz Schadenfreude grew up playing soccer and has a touch of the Clives. Don Duediligence is so reliable but sometimes you need a touch of the Cyrils and he hasn't got it. Harry Hubris looked a million dollars in the early part of the season but went missing in the finals, very over rated, we don't need him.
Barry Behindcloseddoors is worth a shot. Mean bugger from what I heard and capable of running through said doors. Worth a shot - trade Clarkey.
