I see west coast have lined up Jetta for 400 grand a season for three years. Out of curiosity does anyone know what Freo player would be on something similar? Just trying to understand what players would be worth. I presume Bennell would command 600 plus then easy?

Also, might add I reckon Sandi has three more years in him.

I don't think Rhys was around long enough for free agency. We sponsored him there for a year and would catch up with him at a corporate level. He basically fell out of favour with Harvs and wasn't offered a new contract one year. He could never really tell us what he did wrong but personally I think his kicking skills weren't up to scratch particularly post knee reco.

I highly doubt we will land anyone, every year is exactly the same we are linked to all these high profile players and we land nothing. Ive been a freo supporter from the start and I am really starting to get pissed off when it comes to this time of the year. Why cant we land any of these names and west coast can? Is it just me or does every one agree? Looks like bennell is gone now and I highly doubt mcarthy will move over. Freo should know better never get a melbourne player, our game style of play requires hard grunt work and melbourne players are not upto our standards, as we found out with sylvia. Im going to say it now and I know yous will all agree, until we get rid of chris bond this club is non existent in trade period

Damian Barrett on NAB trade radio advising; Cam McCarthy (2:26) and that Harley Bennell (8:40) wants to come to Freo. Barrett thinks we will have to offer 2 x late first round picks to get McCarthy. That is one first round this year and next. No mention of what we would have to offer to get Bennell, does that mean its a late 3rd or later pick?
Mathew Leunberger (5:36) apparently we have interest?

The Freo bashing in the media I've come to expect. The way Freo fans swallow it still bewilders me.

I'm looking at that list and there's 4 player recruiting areas shown.
Freo clearly have the best record in 2 of the 4.
In Rookie Elevation the stats are also good in comparison to the Slime and Hawks.
So that only leaves one area, Trade/Free Agency. We all know Hawthorn have been ultra successful in this area. But that is to be expected for a Melbourne based successful premiership team. It's not like we haven't tried.

So I now look at those Slime players, Cripps is the only one I rate and he's a cousin of Mainwaring so were we ever really a chance with him??? I don't know.
Hill is 26, has battled to get games and was traded for #49 to Western Bulldogs. Freo picked up Lachie Neale with pick #58 in that draft.
Wellingham is 27, couldn't keep his spot in the side in 2014. Collingwood got Brodie Grundy with their draft pick from West Coast.
Ellis, do I need to go there.
Yeo, I believe is very overated. He has a long way to go before he is anywhere near as good as the media makes him out to be. Brisbane Lions drafted Lewis Taylor with their pick, the 2014 Rising Star winner. I raised my thoughts about Yeo earlier in the year when there was that much hype that Slime fans were betting on him to win the Brownlow. He polled 5 votes.
