I get a little irritated about the expectations placed on players in the media in regards to their behaviour.
One of the articles in this thread mentions that he was charged for knocking a cigarette out of a bouncers mouth. My god the man must be a demon.
How does this behaviour differ from that of Clarkson's earlier in the year. We all know he was provoked, the media went to great lengths to defend Clarkson's actions. What level of provocation are these young blokes objected to when they are out, and where is the media offering some sort of defence for them. I would not like to be them on a night out.
Granted the photos in the paper showing drug use are concerning. I agree with previous post that it can't be helpful for someone, to change the direction of their life, if every second day they are referred to as troubled.
Hopefully next year he can just be referred to as superstar premiership player.
