Great pickup. From everything I've heard, this year's draft is thin in the lower numbers, and while drafting is sometimes a crapshoot, some years the odds are more against you picking up a really good player at the lower numbers. I'm also glad we didn't give away a future draft pick like Geelong did. Who knows what might be coming down the pipeline. One thing for sure, Geelong won't.
We picked up a player good on both sides, with real goal sense as a midfielder. Dare to say, better than Mundy or Fyfe in this department? The key points now are that he improves his defensive game, and two-way running as a midfielder. And, because he played for a poor team, we'll get to see how well he consistently fronts up from week-to-week. A much better get than Leroy Jetta IMO who has a history of going missing in games.
