Couldn't disagree more WTB, the three players you just mentioned are Ross's love children, which is why they get games with us, he is totally to blame for that alone, young A Pearce did a sterling job holding down the fort with Ibbo and Elvis when jonno the fist and SCOS were all injured, yet as soon as Dawson is fit Pearce gets the flick, Sherridan was hopeless all night and probably saved the indignity of the red vest by the fact that Tabs was worse.

The Hawks are the most skilful side in the comp. Turn the ball over and you get punished. We turned it over way too often and particularly when the margin was 11 points in the last and we had all the momentum.

That and some horrendous umpiring conspired to keep us out of the GF.

Just on Dawson there, his entire position in the side is based on his supposed greater ability to spoil opposition forwards (specifically the argument used is he is better equipped to cover the resting ruckman). He did not do this once tonight (including horribly against McEvoy) and was a massive liability when trying to rebound the footy with several turnovers. SCOS on the other hand will give just as much if not more than Dawson in trying to stop the opposition but also adds good disposal and decision making to the mix when we rebound.

Lyon has taken us further than any other caoch. BUT. He needs to have a more attacking game plan as per the first half of the year and have a FF with sticky fingers. Two goal sneaks as your forward line can't win you a GF. I think that's been well proven already.

In fairness to lyon, our club hasn't traded well and brought any good talent to the table either over the past few years. Gumbleton was a fail, Sylvia big fail. Who else have we given lyon. No one really. I have never been team lyon as I was and still would be team Harvey but Lyon has done what he could with what he was given and the club need to do more to get him the talent to finish the team off and create more attack. We need Bennell and McCarthy or jetta.

Agrred. As awesome as Pavlich has been, he hasn't played the marking FF for a couple of seasons. The ball just doesn't come in from the midfield or HF line often enough. That's more to do with Lyons strategy and structures than pavlich
