An amazing effort from a bloke on one leg....he looked unbelievabley sore at the end of the game, does anyone know how long this ailment typically takes to heal?

no idea, but from his kicking today you can tell he is a thousand times healthier than he was before the two week spell. so happy to see him close to the early season form.

well, if it is fibular periostitis it needs a good rest. preferably 3 months. that's the problem barlow had when he made a staggered comeback (no pun intended) from his busted leg. the medics will be injecting the region with anaesthetic in the rooms before and during the match no doubt.

if it is something else or a combination of injuries, who knows. theres always osteitis pubis lurking in the background and that never quite leaves you.

either way, I think he won't be back to his best till next season.

oh btw, barlow had it in his non busted leg which gives credence to the claim that it is altered biomechanics that puts undue stress on the leg (I'm looking at you Mitchell, you dirty scumbag)

Spotted on crutches and in a moon boot today. Should he of played? After the other mob got up I was thinking he would be a late withdrawal. If we managed to get up he would of had 4 weeks off before the pre lim.

I think he's been troubled for a few months with something and Sniper Mitchell just made it worse.

If he's ok for prelim how will he get right for a GF in a week should we make it?

Lyon said on 6PR tonight that it's just a precaution and that Pav was in a moonboot.

An elderly relative of ours recently snapped his achilles tendon and was too old to be operated on, but kept his foot in a moonboot with the foot slightly pointed down and went from being incapacitated to being able to drive again in a few weeks. A good call by the medicos to keep Pav in it.

I understand salty peptides were the flavour of the month recently.

I wouldn't have mentioned it before the match but saw Fyfe day before game against Sydney in moonboot. Clearly doing his best to aid recovery as much as possible. You really have to admire him..to be putting in the game he did on the weekend when he is as sore as he is...really brave stuff. Was on one leg in the last 15 mins. Unreal.

So what you're saying, fourthump, is that fitness coaches can pretty much get away with anything in the finals weeks.
