That was just embarrassing and shameful. Watching it on the TV, though, it didn't sound very loud. Can anyone who was at the game say whether it was a lot of people or just a small minority? I'm trying to find something to hold onto which says we are still classier than the Wet Toast fans, but it all leaves me feeling very flat.
Mind you, good on Ch 7 for going out of their way to highlight the booing. If I remember correctly, at the Eagles game it was swept under the carpet by the commentators and when the media did refer to it, it was "WA fans". Now at a Freo game, everyone is desperate to point out "Fremantle fans boo Goodes."
Still, as I said, one moron booing was one too many. It's like they know they don't have a reason for doing it, but someone said they shouldn't and so they feel obliged to prove they can do whatever they like. They don't even know why, other than that they can. Very sad.
