What would happen if Hawks decided to rest / throw their last game, drop to 4th and play us in preference to playing Toast?
Would they do / prefer to do this with the bonus of resting players?

Because of the "Lyon rule" 2013 they can't be seen to do that. We get away with it (dumping players) because neither us or port can change positions or influence the result of any other team.
Also they know they can beat the slime over here, I don't think they would want to play us after having half our team waiting invite sidelines for them.

Yes, but would they sacrifice the extra chance (and give it to Richmond) - doubt it.

However, if the OOFTITS really believe they can dump us at home with their umpires/supporters(easier than they could take on Hawthorn), it's not beyond them to throw their final game against the Deaf Cheats - they would consider it a home final with the chance of a week off.
