True, but you can't or shouldn't win a Brownlow by playing well for half a season.

On the plus side, there are lots of empty seats on the bandwagon now.

ive said it once ive said it a hundred times.......we are too slow and too tired -- add Ballard, Blakeley, Weller and you;ve got guys who can make space and break thru stoppages . im afraid that our golden guru Roley will stick to a tried and wrong selection process next week when we r up against a young and fast Melbourne. He will bring in the same guys he dropped last week. What a joke when even Hungdorn agrees that we need an injection of youth in this team!!

Corps, experiment was Fyfe forward and Walters in the square.

Geez everyone don't panic. Top 2 is sealed, nothing else matters till the finals except injuries, of which we had none. So no, we're not limping!

Win next week, and we have top 2 sewn up. Do we then rest everybody for the Port game?

So, Hackdorn disagrees with Lyon and you back Hackdorn.

Interesting.

Im trying to pull myself out of my funk.

-MJ's disposal was first class - nice to have him back.
-Crozier shows great effort but little impact
-Sonson's first quarter was outstanding
-Griff vs ZaC - no contest at the moment.
-Stager Harvey is an embarrassment.
-I'm conflicted about ZeD, he doesn't do enough for me but we seem to lack alternatives.

Morgan, blind freddy could see that we lack pace - our current B players are carp and the boys who rack up the possessions week in week out for Peel get f all from this coach.......what do u have to do to get into this side vs De Boor, MZ, D Pearce, C Pearce et all...........go figgure us vs the sides showing major improvement in the back half of this season - Bullies, Slime, Sydney, etc all have blooded youngsters in this year. Interesting

I learnt that:

I now wish we had five Mundys, five Fyfes, four Hills and four Walters.

Could not give a flying f@!k about the Brownlow. Can't understand why we stopped attacking the game after the first quarter. Don't agree we are limping towards the finals but the boys do look confused and out of sorts when they do not play instinctively. Seems to me when we get in front we revert to team "structures". Players who's Natural game is to attack and run start to second guess themselves when told to be more defensive, making them look for the perfect pass rather than just play football. We definitely need a focal point up forward, great to see Griff and Sandy kicking multiple goals but they are not the answer. They add x factor but a couple of talls who can kick a few every week is whats needed. Even with the forward structure we have we don't have players at home enough when we win the ball. Need to look at how the Hawks changed their team post 2012. They have their half back line stacked with elite kicks who are mobile allowing them to launch attacks from that line. Their forward line is not overly tall just accurate.

That half the posters on this thread are realists and the others are delusional.

That the minor premiership has just been blown.

That a top two finish is not guaranteed .

That if it happens a final at Subi against Hawthorn is the reward.

That a straight sets exit is looming.

Snail, your vision impaired friend is correct, we could use a bit more speed on the outside. But Blakely and Ballard aren't quick. Good ball winners, and decent endurance, but not quick. Roly would know that. Hackdorn would struggle to name blokes who actually play for us.

Yes, Weller has a bit of toe, which is why Roly gave him a crack. He was ok first up, but was found wanting in his last game.

Robbie Tarrant took 10 marks in defence. Mikey Walters, despite his very best efforts, was never going to snatch a long bomb into the F50. "Houston, we have a problem."
On the AFL website, Goldstein is listed 2nd as best players for Kangaroos, while Sandi doesn't get a mention for Freo. This is after the 'AA ruckman' got totally pantsed by Sandi for the first quarter and a bit.
Channel 7/Fox/David King sycophancy on display with a pre-game feature on Goldstein, a half time feature on Goldstein and a total love-in interview after the game .... with Goldstein. Lucky for them that he ended up with a respectable 28 hitouts to Sandi's 43 — I guess most of them came after Q1.
