Both cases tonight will show that no matter what Freo put up before the tribunal or MRP , the resultant penalty has been pre-determined. I don't think it matters whether we plead guilty, not guilty, I didn't see what happened, or " an alien took control of my elbow for 30 seconds", we are going to get the crappy end of the stick. Blaming the club, the player or the defence lawyer is a waste of time and effort. The blame lays with a corrupt AwFL.
If sam mitchell was playing for Freo, he would have got 3 to 4 weeks for what he did to Fyfe. If josh gibson was playing for Freo, he would have got 3 weeks for the head high bump he dished out to a Freo player ( I think Clancee, but will stand corrected on identity). There is any number of other incidents this year as well, many involving Mike Walters. Nothing done about it. Every Freo player who looks sideways at an opponent gets investigated and punished.
It has been shown time and again that we are going to get it in the neck so as Roly says "control the controllables", however with Scos's actions, Fyfes comments on mitchells' dog act and some of the other tasckling high with intent, I think Freo have had enough.
