So what exactly was Masten - previously charged with assault in a public place - in danger of? Being tackled vigorously without provocation? Surely he was expecting to get tackled given he had the ball.
The upshot of course is that Suban is left with the moniker of being a dobber even though every time the ball is in or out of play an Eagle is flapping his arms somewhere saying "did you see what he just did? Didya but?" with a teenagers sense of incredulity and injustice, while poor Chris might just have to face the music again in coming weeks, the poor unfortunate victim, when i suspect, given the game he allegedly plays is football, he might get tackled vigorously once or even twice. Watch out evil nasty tacklers, this dog has teeth and is allowed to use them.
