That was under a different Tribunal guideline (2014) and Vickery's charge was for Severe Impact and he had carry over points which no longer exist in the current system.
Surely you'd use the current 2015 guideline ala Yarran's 3 wks for intentional High impact on Chapman i.e a like for like charge if you were gonna use anything?

Again who is this muppet advising Silvani?

I love SCOS, but the lawyer would have to be a freakin' genius to get him less than 3 weeks. It wasn't pretty and I believe it when he says it doesn't sit well with him. It was a brain fart.

Imagine the vitriol being felt on here if it the reverse was the case.

6:34pm: AFL counsel Jeff Gleeson recommends a six-week penalty, with a discount of one week. Silvagni's counsel believes a four-week penalty is appropriate with a one-week discount. The bargaining begins.

Mellors, the point is his lawyer should be trying to mitigate the case for him and get a reduced penalty. That's his job. He's not supposed to go in there and be buddies with the tribunal and roll over before it's even started. I think it's appalling. Every other club seems to bring in experts and all sorts to help out their players, and our approach is to throw them under a bus and cross fingers that it works out not too bad.
