Worst loss? People have short memories of St Kilda games the last couple of years..

Guess what, we're yet to play them. Bets on Fisher gets the ump gig too.

That your team can be top of the ladder after 14 games yet, deep down, you just don't believe they can win the premiership.

Play form players, not favourites. The Gu being a case in point. He did well in aside that got thumped.

Blakely in for Mayne next week, if we are going to play a 6'2 forward at CHF. Blakelys got height is highly skilled and can take a mark and also kick straight .....oh and can tackle too. We can also switch him and Fyfe at the centre bounce.

Did Lyon have the crazy eyes at the presser?

To play that bad for the last month you'd have to think it was a cunning plan. To rope a dope the comp into thinking you've already played your season and were in all sorts of trouble, and were no longer a threat.

I don't know if it's crazy enough to work, but it's crazy enough to be an explanation.

I Hodge knows how to rough players up and stay on the right side of the umps (already knew that).
II Said roughed up player (in this case Fyfe) often tries to retaliate and crosses the line and gets pinged by umpires.
III. If you are going to get a free kick count of 8 v1 against in one quarter you might as well make some of the free kicks count.
IV. Men who are follicly challenged and watch footy must be susceptible to advertising.

Eventually What I learnt: Round 15 8 years 9 months ago #23

Eventually
Unfortunately Mzungu has lost a yard, time for Sutcliffe or Crozier
Zac Clarke is definitely not desperate enough forget him this year - time for Griff
One tall forward is suicide
Time for Langdon , Blakely or Duffy
We cannot play Suban, De Boer and Mzungu at the same time we look too slow
That someone needs to tell Mayne and Ballas that their job is to kick more goals than tackles

i) some people should heed Douglas Adam's advice more often
ii) form in April is not the same as form in July
iii) form in Sep/Oct is what matters more than form in July
iv) I remain an optimist

i. It's a long drive back from Launceston
ii. It's a long drive back from Launceston in the dark
iii. It's a long drive back from Launceston in the dark when your team got belted around the park.
iv. If Freo aren't going to bother turning up, then neither am I next time.

Yeti - the start of the season will definitely matter if it gets us the double chance and a home final.

I don't think it is our forward structure or missing MJ. Our loss was down to two things:

i) Our midfield got smashed. We got killed in the clearances like. We were getting the hit out and managed to get first hands on the ball. But it would be snaffled by the Hawks and they would be gone.

ii) Our defensive pressure has dropped right off. Hawks were able to find free men all day. They had all the time in the world to dispose of the ball.

We need to get our midfield and pressure back on track or we won't beat anyoneanyone in Sept.

Oh, and I would love Clarke to show some presence. He gets beaten in contest in the air and on the ground all day. Unless he has a run and jump at the ball he is no chance.
