I think if the MRP really took the time to look into this, they'd find Buddy is actually only 5'6" and 75kg dripping wet, and was therefore really lucky to not come off with a serious life threatening injury to himself for such a courageous, yet foolhardy action. The little nugget.

I know what you are saying – yes, but he didn't. Well, the rules – you know those pesky things – they also ask that the potential to cause serious injury be considered for impact. Oops, forgot that bit.

What is 'the point of concussion'? How does one determine degrees of not being concussed?

He was hit in the head so the doctor took the responsible doctorly action and had a look at him. He was quickly cleared and came back onto the ground before he was allowed to, giving away a free kick.

There are some very specific rules for when a player has their head over the ball. You can't apply them to other situations. It's like reading out the push in the back rule and then trying to apply it to the side.

I think this needs repeating - it was the same result that Fyfe got for his high bump on Rischitelli last year. Fyfe just happened to have carry over points from his lame attempt to get off the kicking charge a year earlier so couldn't get it reduced with a guilty plea.

You edited out the jib bit that I liked, where he refers to the rules and potential injury where a player has head over the ball. Then he says some stuff about inconsistency and the tribunal. I really liked that.

My take is that degree of injury shouldn't come into the verdict deliberations.
