As seasons progress - even over last few years - game seems more about how far and how fast you can run.
I can see Sheridan playing a lot of AFL matches. He'll never be a Fyfe, nor have the foot skills of Hill but when we actually play him in the guts with blokes all around he goes well in traffic. Just need to keep him around at club long enough for when we need him full time in that role.
He is no small defender and perhaps not even a hb flanker type.
Historical fwd performances of blokes now not getting a gig are for mine a bad read on future output. If he comes back in by end of year and kicks some goals and competes defensively might be worth a look.
I'd prefer Dixon, can play, has a bit of mongrel about him and back in coaches and players to address any alleged issues
