All this Sleepy Hollow stuff would be easier to take if we didn't get crapped on every time we open our mouth (sorry about the image).

I've heard Cameron Moody going on about us, just heard Corbin Middlemass going on about us, waiting to hear Gerard and Gerard and Robbo and bloody Sheehan going on about us. This "sure we understand that Freo might be upset about having this garden implement here inserted into them in the reverse direction from the usual progress of the digestive system, but they should make their concerns known politely in private to the AFL and keep a dignified silence in public" crap.

Dignified like Eddie and Mick and Richard Colless (Lord love him) and Nic Natainui and Brian Cook (him too) and everyone else at every frikkin' footy club in the league who just about have daily media conferences to blow off whatever steam they've got going.

Corbin is being exceedingly weird about this.

Even the Duffster, bless his cotton socks, was giving rational reasons why this was an inappropriate decision on Saturday.

Corbin's reply was "Yes. You're right. So what?"

Duffmeister then said "So the basis of your argument, Corbin, is that it wouldn't happen to any other team but because it is Fremantle it is OK for them to be shafted? I think that is a very difficult position to sustain."

Corbin's reply, "We're never going to agree on this so lets move on. The rowing world championships are currently underway in Korea..."

I love how sport journos feel the divine power to command what the sport-watching public should and shouldn't talk about. Love it!

I liked watching Brian Cook on the Sunday Footy Show - sure you can go and study at Harvard but it doesn't give you the skills to dress yourself.

Perhaps Harvard could offer offer him a core unit "How to successfully button up a shirt 101". It could contribute 5 points towards a post grad in "being a smug tosser"

They could've stopped the leak that saw betting suspended on Monday last week, read the situation at AwFL Control earlier and worked out a better strategy to get what the team needed.

But I'm not worried in the slightest. There is more pressure on them (Catties) than us - all we have to do is get in front at some stage in the game and they will be falling all over themselves trying to avoid a loss. They have been given so much help that they won't dare lose - if they do, they will be so psychologically stuffed they might as well bring Mad Mick in to talk about the Roman Empire.

Again, all we have to do is get in front on the scoreboard at some stage in the game - just watch.

I love the reverse psychology Polly. All the pressure is on them - home crowd, one of the premiership favourites, huge expectation to win.

Lyon is starting the war of words in his own subtle way. "We're going down to give it a real shake.

"No one really gave us much opportunity last year and we came out and played some very good football, so we know our best is very good."

The Cats are going to get behind, panic, take unnecessary risks, turn the ball over, be torched on the counter-attack, precipitating further panic, etc. etc.

It's going to be beautiful to watch.

Fox Footy 360 show response was biased and predictable w/G' Wakemeup but @On The Couch was unanimous in its defence of Freo having the right to be disgruntled and side swiped.
Especially from Mike SheeNun which is unusual.
