What is going on down there? Players union concern over injury management, player dust ups, key football personnel not cooperating. You'd say it needs intervention that such and such should act but they all seem to be part of the problem. It's a closed loop. In the West today Duffield asks for an independent review but the problem is there is no independent person to give that review to. Maybe the WAFC should step in?

It's all crap propergated by the media. It's the media that needs to be investigated here...
There seems to be an intense hatred towards Fremantle and whatever garbage they conjour up never seems to end.

We had the opportunity last year to get fresh eyes on all of this but we hired a former board member. There's no appetite for change because they still think 2013 is recent history. They Cockburn bunker has no clocks.

The problem now is that whatever press release Bell puts out or whatever review Rosich claims he's undergoing, the damage is done. We can't recruit anyone now. We are going to struggle to keep players who have something pulling at them to leave.

Regardless of the facts, we're the club that was investigated by the AFLPA. We're the club you go to if you want to end up like Bennell or Kersten or Morabito or Stephen Hill, because that's what happen when you keep trying to solve a problem with PR and don't follow proper management processes.

You got to wonder what a new face in admin would be capable of though. Rosich and the board are tight - that's how Peter Bell gets a top job with no management experience.

There's no point in the media or anyone calling for reviews. No one is independent. The WAFC own both clubs. The only time they'd intervene if it was leaking money like a AFL prop- up club.

No point blaming the media either. I doubt media watch are going to go feral on footy reporting. They can smell trouble, and they will fan it with their own speculation.

The club stood still, fell off the cliff and were unable to show improvement for four seasons. That opens you up for the hacks in the media to come down hard on you - because no one listens to the membership.

Like borers in a diseased tree in the bush, you've either got to cut a few big branches off or wait until the whole thing comes crashing down.

Shane is right, the time changes needed to be made passed two or three seasons ago - now everyone just has to wear the damage.

Just my view.

The fact that Subi could fix Zac Clarke where Freo couldn't...well, don't mention war, right? While you're at it, don't mention Bennell's repeated calf injuries, Tabs repeated foot injuries, Hill's repeated quad/calf injuries, Hogan's repeated foot injuries, Alex Pearce's repeated broken leg or Kersten wanting an early release to get his own treatment away from the club.

Seriously, if you ignore stuff like that, then you can make a claim that we are performing well.

It's just a circle jerk down at Cockburn. Underperformers supporting other underperformers. Underperformers giving highly paid jobs to other underperformers with no hint of accountability.

Then, when it all goes toes up with failure season by season, just deflect attention away by blaming media conspiracies or making claims about how well we are operating. Stack the Facebook (and other sites) page with stooges who attack anybody with the temerity to criticise underperformance.

Then sit back and rake in a huge annual salary while presiding over continued failure. Easy way to make a quid.....if you can live with that

We're a young side without any depth. So when injury hits our better players then it shows.
We may have made bad decisions in the past with trades etc and missed opportunities under our eyes, but Ross Lyon seems to be held responsible for everything that happens down at dockerland.

I'd wait till this time next year before I get the noose out...

So nothing changes, and you're happy to wait for the same result next year?

There is a good list there. Supporters have been screaming for a Hogan and Lobb for a few years. They got both and some low draft picks.

Lyon's approach to training and gameplan burns plays out, and isn't a recipe for winning. It would also suggest it causes injuries that medical can't fix. Because players stay injured more often than not.

expat, Lyon is certainly a significant part of the problem but it's a bit difficult to sustain a picking on Lyon approach when the club admin, medical section plus the fitness and conditioning section are all being criticised for poor performance.

Roly is responsible for the poor game plan, poor player selections, poor gameday responses and a poor coaching philosophy that will not allow repeated areas of failure to be remediated. There are more than enough grounds to remove Roly for sustained underperformance but that doesn't let the rest of them off the hook.

We are simply not a well run club across the board and that is amply demonstrated by our on-field performances

It's so bad down there it's endemic; it's impossible to attribute blame to anyone individual. Everything you look at:list management; conditioning and injury management; game plan, skills, culture and engagement with the fans- it's all busted. Who is the individual to blame for that?
