Hagdorn is a classic multitasker; he reports the rumours he started.

I have it on good authority, that it's Pavlich heading to Adelaide.

the hack and hardie were on about this on Saturday morning as well, basically said players dont want to contnue playing under Lyon and only Bell was holding the place together.

of course no names are ever mentioned.

They have to talk about something so make things up with no details or basis, also I think they get fed by managers to spruik up players so they can argue a better deal with the club.

We get it every year, but recently I cant think of a player other than Neal who left and we tried to keep, even DeBoer who is a regular at GWS was cut and didnt walk..

For all I know what they are saying might be true. But there’s a bit of history between the three so I will take it with a grain of salt.

Is this the reason behind the new cuddly Roscoe that we're seeing this season. Reasons abound for Lachie leaving last year but Chris Fagan is definitely a players coach who is quite often seen as being quite warm towards his players.
Maybe it was a direction from Belly to lighten the environment.

Okay, I'll say it......what if it's true?

It's also been said that Roly has asked for a contract extension, but that hasn't happened.

It’s old school to think we will keep all our good players. The world has changed and players will look for the best options for themselves and their future. I am not going to lose sleep over players leaving, however, I will be very interested in what we manage to get in return. If Fyfe decided to leave so be it but we better get a couple of A graders in return.

If push came to shove I reckon the club would be more interested in retaining Fyfe than Lyon.

I hope so, CA, I hope so. But with Rosich holding the remote, I wouldn't bet big money on it.

I think hypen nailed it with ‘I can’t believe I’m asking this...’.

No doubt Hagdorn bandied around phrases like ‘developing story gaining momentum’, ‘internal sources’ and ‘watch this space’ to try and demonstrate some credibility.

Both Hills have been thrown around in the wider media, and it seems that the Gold Coast interest in Stephen has some merit. Let me say from the get go, I wouldn’t be looking at offloading either but as part of the AFL scenery player movements are common place.
We don’t get any say in Stephen. Two million over three years would be tough to match for a player appearing to have soft tissue issues, and would result in reasonable compensation.
I can’t see Hawthorn chasing Brad to hard, if as reported they are wanting Coniglio. He is a better player than when we got him for pick 23, so would need better compensation than 23.
I suspect that we will again finish short of the eight and receive another top ten pick. If this is the case, and shedding both Brad’s and Stephen’s salaries, we could be in a strong position to secure one or more of Coniglio, Kelly and English.
This could leave our list in a better state than it currently is, if this were to transpire I don’t think we could also lose the pace of Langdon.
Player movement doesn’t necessarily equate to player discontent.

I think what we know is approaching July of each year, Hagdorn has two shots.

One, if we're doing crap go on about how crap we are.

Two, if we're doing well report all our good players want out.
