It would be interesting to correlate a list of people demanding that we don't pay overs for Hoges with the people that are unimpressed with us giving up on him.

Its posturing. Everyone know we were going to have 2 really good picks in the top 10 if Lachie went. So we downgraded one to give us some change for the deal. We want to give pick 11 plus they want 5 and 11. When they get 5 plus steak knives they will feel they have won.

How many times will Jezza say that Neale will stay, should stay, will go, should go, he owes us,etc, etc.

Jezza, what's reasonable for Neale then?

Not fuss if he goes or stay. I’m for what’s best for the club. Pity some don’t think that way. If Weller was worth Pick 2, then that’s your starting point I would’ve thought. Clearly after last year no one will like getting shafted by Freo again.

Hypen, everyone (myself included) thought Freo were mad raving lunatics, bonkers, without credibly, not going to have any future trading friends for asking for pick 2 for weller.

Turned out pretty good, so unless everyone is saying the same about our current trading positions I'm not happy. At the moment I'm happy.

What's reasonable for Neale? That he stays and honours his contract. That would be reasonable.

Great call Belly!

You have in one fell swoop killed off Melbourne’s hopes of getting May from GC and called them out for asking overs for an injury-prone (and currently injured) WA player.

If Melbourne are fair dinkum in wanting May watch for their back-sliding and offers of ‘concilliation’ over the weekend to get this trade back on the rails.

Now just sew up the Lobb and Langdon deals with the second and third rounders we got as part of the pick 6 swap.

Seriously Jezza, is there anyone on this site that doesnt want good outcomes for the club? Just because we have different views doesnt mean that we want the suffering to go on.

As for Weller! That deal was one out of the box and shouldn't (and wont) be used as a precedent. That was a steal of monumental proportions and does not represent a starting point for negotiations.

Melbourne want a tall defender, offer them Cox and pick 11.

It's amazing how precious people get at trade time. Why should anyone care what other people think about how or how not FFC trade.

The notion that no one will trade with FFC again for simply playing the game, is nonsense. If FFC have something others want then they will trade.

I am confused however about the Port pick swap. Bell is either playing an incredible game of poker face, or he's thinking Lobb and draft or perhaps all draft. Given the rebuild mantra i'd not be surprised to see 100% drafting.

Matt, I'm not sure we can give away Dean Cox but it sounds like a fair deal to me.

If Lachie really wants to go he needs to get Brisbane to give Dockers what they want - pick 5 ++. Otherwise he stays and plays or sits out a year of footy which doesn't help him or Brisbane. Beams wants out, Lachie has to be a Brisbane priority.
