If he doesn't get three weeks for that tackle on Kelly, then Nyhuis can call the AFL corrupt .

Watch the AFL pick and choose the end result.

The commonpotatoes said one week and tex is a good bloke.
Plus they waited until kelly woke up out on the field instead of wasting fuel for the buggy, doesn't look as bad when players don't leave on a stretcher.

Probably get a fine imo.

Ever noticed how short his legs are? I didn't before they were in town a few weeks back- all game I was thinking 'geez, I reckon he finds it hard finding Levis with a 18 inch leg length'. But like Didak and all those other stumpy leggers that have played footy, that low centre of gravity makes them ferocious tacklers. Funny runners mind you, kind of like cartoon characters.

He should get exactly what Bone Cruncher Nyhuis got.

There were claims that Gray was out for 45 seconds, Kelly was unmoving for a similar amount of time.

I think both arms were free by the time he hit the ground but he had no real time to defend himself. Three weeks under the Nyhuis interpretation.

And now Waite is on tenterhooks??? WTF, he should know that is at least a week, or, given his previous 2 weeks. However CH 7 commentators were in damage control once again talking it down to a fine at worst. Who runs the bloody MRP? Christian or Kerry Stokes?

Nyhuis has every right to call the AFL corrupt. Walker got off with just 2 weeks, so no need for the tribunal. The MRO is hopelessly inconsistent and conflicted.

I thought Walker kinda let him go towards the end of it but given the consideration given to the consequence I would have thought it was the equivalent of Nyhuis. Both Gray & Kelly were down for a while. Christian might look a bit silly if Kelly misses this week given Gray played pretty well the week after his incident.

What about Waite??? Fyfe got a week for something that was nowhere near the force or intent of that, and Brown is going to the tribunal for something not very much worse. Christian is just like the rest of them, he does what he is told by damage control and media management.

Let em all off.

What a joke, It's obvious what is going to happen for the rest of the season, isn't it. Which Freo player will be used as an example that rules are there to be followed.

It is blatantly obvious fines are not working in suppressing any of the offenses before the MRO. Suspend them. It will only take 2 weeks of dishing out 2 or 3 week suspensions to convince the coaches that their players need to be pulled into gear.

And when is that moron Brereton and his idiot mates going to be taken to task over their little "Everyone should be allowed to punch Ballantyne " "joke. We would cop a pretty rapid response if we started a "Let everyone punch Gaff" campaign.

Hooker was unlucky to be fined for that - there was nothing in it. Reversing the free kick was enough.

Instead of handing out peewee fines which are not doing anything to deter. They should start all fines at 5 figures. Imagine copping a $75,000 fine for striking and if the club appeals and loses, then it should triple. Surely that will pull some heads in.

The AFL has to agree terms with the AFLPA. No chance that makes it past the collective bargaining agreement.
