HI Final8,
The email address which our group confirmation came from was from sender 'Fremantle Dockers' and it was from the membership email at the Dockers. My understanding is on the group leader was sent the email. They can forward the email onto their group, if they wish.
Hope this helps.

Thanks all. I am my group leader and no email received...... For those not received their emails I found the seating information as follows:

1) Log into your "my account" at oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/fremantle
2) On the left hand site there is an upgrade now link, click it
3) This will show you your current seat allocations, and upgrade period.

Not sure if this will work for "non" group leaders.

We've received block 110 on ground level. Could have been worse based on what I am reading in the thread. Good Luck

Got allocated seats for the family we don't like and more expensive, like many others. Has anyone worked out how to change them and choose others?

Hey Morgan,

"I think part of the answer is that not everyone is just renewing their seat. Take my group for example. Five of us have sat in the same spot for more than a decade. If our crew of five was just renewing, then it's easy enough to just give us roughly the same seats"

Except that's what we are doing (crew of 5 just renewing same seats) and clearly it's not.

It's frustrating - trying to be objective - that they have managed to complicate the process and create angst in what should have been a feel good story for everyone involved.

They haven't complicated the process. It's inherently complicated in itself.

Some people want better seats, some don't. Some are happy to spend more, others aren't. Some want to sit in group, or add or delete people, some don't. Some are renewing, some aren't - but FFC are still allocating them seats until told otherwise.

There's 37,000 people to seat, give or take, and people are being allocated according to tenure. And FFC are meant to know exactly what every member wants?

You can't throw the seats open for everyone to pick for themselves, that won't work either. They're doing it the most workable way - allocate seats so you get something vaguely comparable, and give the opportunity to move later.

Their main objective is to get people renewed first, then deal with preferences later, for those that have them.

Chop it out. 37000 into the new stadium could have been rather easily seated in as like for like as possible.
My Subi seat was row B block 246 and now row 10 block 533. We've been put in what is effectively the top level of the 3 tier stand at Subi. They would be what I consider about as bad as a seat on offer at Subi.
At PS like for like is either section 309 towards the front or towards back of 109 or in the sections either side of 309/109.
180 degrees different and higher for 30% more is a terrible attempt at like for like.
In fact you couldn't get much less like for like.
Shame there's no Cancel My Membership button (or is there) so those blowing up on social media and saying they'll cancel can. At least when our time comes to change their seats will be available to choose from. As it stands they will still be showing unavailable until the end of the priority period.
It's a corporate balls up no matter the spin you put on it. Oh and the $209 extra per seat we'll pay over what a Meth Coaster will pay for the same seats is just another kick in the guts.

They're not going to be able to offer, or give like for like, for everyone. Nor can they know what people want to pay, or what view they might prefer at a stadium that'll offer a different perspective to the one we have. If like for like was actually simple to do, it would be done.

The stadium has been carved up during the operators negotiations. It's not like there's 50,000 seats for each club. The operators kept a swag of corporate areas for themselves. They're selling stadium memberships. There are 3000 seats that are bundled with tourism packages and there's seats for the operators to use. Sections are set aside for the 7000 general admission. There goes plenty of potential like for likes in that lot.

The same whingery is happening over on Eagles forum. They also point out that we get some cheaper seats than they do in the same sections. And vice versa.

Given both clubs are struggling to manage this, perhaps it isn't a corporate stuff up and you just can't fathom the logistics of 2 clubs shifting 80,000 people to new seats in one big operation, when only certain areas are available.

If you have a better idea that will work, come up with one.

Ok...

Every member not looking for an upgrade or additions to the group total gets an immediate allocation of like for like seating.

Everyone else gets a clearly marked option seat and an invitation to request different.

Once you've offered those two things then you can start trying to sell the price increase.

What if your like for like seat is now a corporate area, or the venue owns it, or it's now a general admission area?

I get that some people are being gipped - but this is a really difficult, one-off process that the AFL and Freo would have next to zero experience in (name the last time 100 000ish members across 2 clubs were relocated to a whole new ground). The people who are doing this at Freo are not Steve, Ross and Bondy. They are clerks, membership officers, IT people etc. And they have to relocate all of us with 40 000 different opinions on what they should do. It's hard gig, I wouldn't want it myself - imagine being on the end of the phone at membership services at the moment?! Hats off to them for doing a difficult job in a timeframe beyond their control.

It's really not that complicated. Yes, it could be time consuming, but they could have started, actually should have started in June.

Look, it's just silly and odd and inconsistent.

Take block 535. The official stadium map says this is category 4. $399.

Let's say a group I know - actually the group I am in - has been offered block 535, saying they are CATEGORY 3 seats, and priced at $599.

Let's consider that 8 of said group are 24(+) year members. I don't know whether it is more offensive to try to charge them cat 3 prices for cat 4 seats or to allocate them cat 4 seats viewing from behind the goal line deeper than deep can get in the forward pocket in block 535 when block 541 seats are the same price and the equivalent of 541 at Subiaco would be sitting on the point of one of the inflatable anchors above the southern stand from where they fire the tear gas cannisters - i.e. the seats didn't exist so couldn't really be like-for-like allocated.

It's a shonk up.

Like when you go for check-in on a plane and there are apparently no seats available to choose but when you get on you find the flight is only half full, empty seats everywhere, lots of three side-by-side vacant, but you've been satin the aisle seat next to the fat bloke who's not showered in 48 hours and has a bladder the size of a snow pea.

I think that some people aren't really understanding the logistics of this move and that appears to include Fremantle.

They are simply not moving 80,000 people from one oval to another. They are shifting 30 something thousand people into a stadium with twice the capacity. Getting like for like shouldn't be as hard as some are making out. Offering a seat upgrade to existing seat renters should not be that hard a task at the same time.

Once that has been completed, you can open up the remaining seats to non seat renters who want to upgrade their memberships and that should comfortably accommodate at least another 15, 000 and still leave the required 'walk up' sales on game day.

Of course, it all gets a bit more complicated when you try and justify a 200+ dollar increase on like for like seats so a bit of confusion might be useful but lucky I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

This whole shemozzle shouldn't really be happening no matter how much you try and justify it
Egurls Suck!
