I reckon excluding the old fellas we have two A grade players - Fyfe and Neale. Maybe Hill but he has lost it lately. The rest still have something to prove.
We will get games into Weller, Blakeley, Langdon. A Pearce, Tucker & Grey. If you are going to do that you need Pav Dawson Johnno and the like around them.
You know what you are going to get from Sutcliffe Sheridan Suban D Pearce Crozier Mayne and if there is no improvement and they are deemed surplus to requirements then you do have trade bait.
Some big boys would be nice - have to persevere with Taberner knowing that probably he is not going to make it - we don't have anyone else.

Well, one positive is that we didn't give up multiple first-round draft picks for McCarthy. That would have been a lot when they were coming late in the draft, but disastrous when we look to be picking early.

Very interested to see the strategy at the end of the year Morgan. Assuming we get a top three pick is that rolled over to the following year when Hogan is out of contract? And given our second round is going to GC for Bennell, how do we get McCarthy?

Do you have to take your pick in the year you have it under the new rules?

Agree about the trade bait Grub(plus Clarke). The only problem is that they aren't going to attract much attention or high picks.
You have to give something to get something and the only one that may be in that category is Neale who has held off re-signing.
