ROUND 5 REPORT
Livinintheeastnow (94) def. by Brendon Feddema Allstars
(115)
An experienced coach took over the reins of the BFA (used to be dmac's
team) and a win followed. Chad Cornes led the BFA from the forward line,
while Michael Voss and Beau McDonald tried hard for Livin.
Carrot & Onions (98) def. by The Nowotny Nomads (122)
The Nomads had a comfortable win over the Onions, with players such as
Nigel Lappin and Jeff White leading from the front. (Is there such a thing
as leading from behind?) The Onions struggled to find a winner on the
ground.
The Rollers & Rockers (111) def. The Curlywongs (106)
The Curlywongs winning streak was blown away by the Rollers in a tight
game. Peter Bell was excellent for the Rollers, and Heath Black came off
the bench to win the game for them. The Curlywongs, previously undefeated
and scoring highly, had only Steven King doing his normal serviceable
job.
Willsy Aeroplane 2 (159) def. Race 5 Cessnock Dogs (101)
WA2 comtinued on its winning ways by flogging the Dogs. Brendon Fevola,
Scott West, Angelo Lekkas (crab) and Michael Gardiner were superb for
WA2, who also had Adrian Hickmott come off the bench and contribute well.
Jason Johnson, Scott Burns and Paul Licuris tried hard for the Dogs, but
were severely outclassed all day.
The Clangers (125) def. The Late Starters (95)
The Starters, who had done well until now coachless, were outdone by the
Clangers. Steven Milne, Ben Cousins, Wayne Campbell and Shannon Grant
were excellent for the Clangers, while Adam Simpson and Brad Scott put
their best in for the Starters.
The Western Allstars (106) def. The Super Dooper Big
Chiefs Of The World (103)
In the closest game of the round, the Allstars were able to hold off the
gallant Chiefs. Leigh Harding, Shane Crawford and Anthony Stevens were
good for the Allstars, while Nathan Buckley almost pulled off the win
by himself for the Chiefs. The Chiefs must be wondering what they have
to do to get a win, and I can tell them, it's score more points than the
other team.
Cylon Centurions (128) def. Sunday Everyday (81)
It was a one sided affair when the Centurions beat Sunday. Matthew Lloyd,
Lenny Hayes, Roger James and Jade Rawlings all had easy days for the Centurions,
while James Hird was the only shining light for Sunday.
Premiership Hangover (85) def. by The Les Fong Experience
(106)
Once again, the Hangover were hungover, and the Experience dispatched
them with ease. Jess Sinclair tried hard for the Hangover but players
like Brad Johnson were too good in the end.
