ROUND 4 REPORT
Western Allstars (94) def. by dmac (104)
Dmac's team, coachless again, called on the interchange bench to save
their hides this week. Mark Ricciuto and Rhett Biglands led dmac's team,
while Shane Crawford was the only one to do anything for the Allstars.
The Les Fong Experience (113) def. The Nowotny Nomads
(105)
An even performance all over the ground by the Experience was enough to
win the closest game of the round. Anthony Rocca served the Experience
well, while Chris Tarrant and Andrew Kellaway tried hard for the Nomads.
The Rollers & Rockers (131) def. Carrot & Onions
(113)
The Rockers held off a fast finishing Onions with Phil Matera, Peter Bell
and Brent Montgomery leading the way. Aaron Hammill and Luke Darcy were
best for the Onions.
The Super Dooper Big Chiefs of the World (120) def. by
Livinintheeastnow (128)
In the other close match of the round, Livin was able to hold off the
Chiefs. Jeff Farmer, Justin Longmuir and Paul Hasleby were best for Livin
(gotta love that), while Kent Kingsley and Nathan Buckley put in
strong performances for the Chiefs.
Willsy Aeroplane 2 (131) def. Sunday Everday (88)
Top of the table WA2 handed out what could only be called a pasting to
Sunday this week. WA2 had winners in Brendon Fevola, Scott West, Justin
Murphy and Michael Gardiner, while James Hird led Sunday well, and David
Hille came off the bench to add something to the team.
The Cylon Centurions (100) def. by The Clangers (113)
The Clangers kept their unbeaten run alive this week, but not by much.
Troy Simmonds was superb for the Clangers, while Nathan Brown and Jade
Rawlings almost helped the Centurions get over the line.
Cus' Team (130) def. Race 5 Cessnock Dogs (100)
Cus' team, again coachless, managed quite a good performance against the
Dogs. Adam Goodes in the ruck and the three midfielders in Adam Simpson,
Mark Bickley and Matthew Bode clicked and ran all over the Dogs. Jason
Johnson was good for the Dogs but had very few helpers.
Premiership Hangover (120) def. by The Curlywongs (151)
For the second week in a row, the Curlywongs scored 151 points, and it
was more than enough to deal with the Hangover. Wayne Carey, Andrew McLeod,
Cameron Ling, Nick Stevens and Steven King were all excellent for the
Curlywongs, while Paul Medhurst, Daniel Kerr and Peter Everitt all put
in respectable performances for the Hangover.

Number of times Blocker has amused Scal with his team selection email:

Best coaches comment leading up to a game: Blocker with "In
an effort to foster more competition in the DFFL, I've given my boys the
week off from training, and let them do their own thing. Charlie went
into Northbridge, Scott went off to check on his wife, Angelo went for
a pedicure, Fevola scored some more steroids, Rip van Lynch is still off
snoring in the hammock, Richo spat the dummy, Joelly was still laughing
at how soft Fremantle was, and I just put my feet up and shook my head."
If I think of more, or people have any suggestions, I'll
add to these stats.
