The Other Blokes ;The Rookie draft has been completed to round out the recruiting season. It's the AFL's equivalent of the post-Post Christmas sales, where all the clothes are too big or too small and the donut makers and hotdog cookers are going at two for fifty cents. Fremantle of course have always had a good eye for a bargain and once again look to have found the slight cosmetic damaged plasma screens for half price, with a host of potential stars being selected. Meanwhile, the Eagles took Dick.
The Recruits Fremantle has 5 new blokes willing to put on the purple and white stripes next season after the Dockers used up their first 5 draft picks to bring youngsters a bunch of midsized youngsters over from the eastern states to have a run around at Fremantle Oval, with an eye on getting themselves out onto Subiaco Oval next season. The marquee selection was pick number 16 and that was used on a youngster from Victorian by the name of Tom Sheridan who likes to run a lot and play in the middle.
Fremantle Draw For 2012 Yet to cacth on the time honoured tradition of Collingwood and West Coast that you whinge loudly no matter how perfect your fixture draw turns out, Fremantle are pretty happy with the way things have lined up for them in 2012, based on last year's results. Of course, expectations have been set lower and lower over the years so anything that doesn't invlve back to back to back road trips between Tasmania, Queensland and South Africa is a good base for the Dockers to start from. All the states will get a look at Freo this year, with Tasmania back on regular rotation for Freo and the South Australians getting to see Freo twice as usual.
