It's amazing but somewhere over the last ten days I picked up an enormous sense of enthusiasm and a real confidence that we, meaning the Dockers, are on the verge of a massive run of top line form and subsequent victories. Despite that disgraceful and inexplicable performance against the Dees I have this genuine feeling that we're going to surprise a lot of people and a lot of teams in the very near future.

Quite frankly I couldn't bring myself to visit this, or any other AFL related site since the meltdown we all witnessed.

I've tried to avoid the hysteria and it worked pretty well.

Obviously like himself and many of us, I have also been boiling with anger since Monday night but trying to restrain from letting it get to me to the point where it explodes. I had contained the anger and it was down to a light simmer but reading Mr Smiley's work, it tipped me over the edge. I just had to get it out to get it over and done with so I can enjoy the next two weeks break.

So anyway, Melbourne this week for the new Fremantle. There is no doubt that if they play as well over the coming 16 weeks as they have the previous fortnight we will win many more than we lose. Maybe even final. Unlikely I know but nevertheless, the efforts of the last 2 weeks are easy to watch and easy to like.

There are a lot of people who continue to sing the praises of the one and only Daniel Gilmore. He may just be one of those players that some people warm to and whatever they do is fine. Or he might be like a "be on me next start" type of race horse which continually show glimpses of ability that makes you believe they're worth following, I don't know.
