As well you know, football heroes and villains abound in the AFL. Thankfully, we have been blessed with the former at our Club. My favourites have been Troy Cook, the fabulous Dale Kickett and the unflappable twig of integrity Shane Parker.

Description: I grew up supporting Claremont in the WANFL/WAFL. One of my first football memories was of the family joy when the Tigers inexplicably won the 1964 Grand Final against Old Easts. My boyhood heroes were Bruce Duperouzal, Oscar Mill and Geoff Blethyn. In later years, the likes of Ken Hunter, the Krakoeurs, Ben Allan and Derek Kickett had me standing and cheering. Not surprisingly, when the Dockers entered the AFL and enlisted half the Claremont team, I nailed my colours to the Freo mast. I am hoping that my blog, You Know Football, will be eclectic. It is likely to contain a lot of carp including views on football as a business, observations from Block 101, reports on quirky fans, the obligatory dig at the eGurls and, much to the chagrin of many, I will probably also comment on our centre clearances. I hope that at least some of my blogs will be of interest to you, dear Dockerlander. |

If you think that you know football, tell me what's wrong with this scenario.
I wonder if anything surprises you any more.
