I am surprised the media hasn't given the game againts the Kangaroos and Eagles on the gold coast Saturday night a name like they named our game against Melbourne "THE WHO CARES CUP" I heard on the radio that they have only sold 1,000 tickets. They went on and on about the who cares cup but what have we heard of the who cares game! Can we come up with a decent name for this one?

They were taking the pi** out of it last night on the footy show.
Should make for interesting viewing seeing 6,843 people at an AFL match - it'll be like watching the NRL!

What about calling it a "Normal Eagles Home Game"
It will be same the atmosphere as their Subi home games.
No loud cheering or crowd reaction allowed.

Don't be ridiculous Colin, you can always hear booing at a Wiggles game. Especially when they're out of form.

If they have a bit of wind up there this weekend it could be a crowd rotation game as they swap ends looking for the play.

Funny you should mention this Freo4ever, I went on the 'all fronts offensive' over this at work today.
Freo cop a kicking in the media cause Melbourne can't get a decent crowd together, but when it happens to the Wet Toast ... nothing.
Lots of blank stares from e-girl supporters today, obviously the thought hadn't occurred, or the media hadn't told them what to think ...

I know your pain Darthmarto, this is one of the reasons I bought it up because the media made such a bloody big deal over us playing in Melbourne and weagle supporters that I know from near and far had also put in their 2 cents worth - and what have we heard about their game on the gold coast what I have heard they have now sold 6,000 tickets - WOW!

The REALLY depressing part is that we've been waiting 13 years for this moment - and yet still can't escape their shadow due to our own stunning level of failure!
Freo are tracking so much better than West Coast at the moment, but I can't enjoy it because we're locked together like Ben Hur and Messala at the final turn of the chariot race.
The sooner we free ourselves from the shackles and zoom as far away from them as possible, the better.

Well it looked like it turned out to be the 'who cares game' quote from the awfl site "Just 6354 fans braved a stormy evening on the Gold Coast, but they were rewarded with a tight contest that featured bursts of high-quality football.
The Eagles led by 21 points early in the third quarter, before four unanswered goals bought North a narrow lead at the last change" Wow a 21 point lead and they could have won the game but they lost by 6 points at least it wasnt a thrashing that they have been accustomed to. What did you do whilst it was on - me I watched Forest Gump - again. My daugther who follows Caarlton was so annoyed that her game wasnt on either stations and not even the radio. Love to see the ratings for last night!

Please, please, if there is such a thing as a footy god, let us have a win this arvo... I don't want to spend any more time at the bottom end of the ladder close to the Eagles ( See Jester's post).

I don't want them to be in a position to draft Rich or Naitanui; I found myself willing them to win last night. When not playing Freo this season, I want West Coast to win. If they do draft these two kids they will get good again real quick.
Let them finish in 9th spot, which is the new wooden spoon.

Better still, have them finish last and a late season off-field indiscretion sees them to be penalised their first and second round picks.
