Re:Trade Time
I have said before and I'll say it again but I would like to get Rich into our midfield and, if we needed pick 1, it would most likely involve a trade with Melbourne somehow.

However, do you think we would be better off trying to trade Warnock for another melbourne side's later first round pick. I think clubs would be more tempted to give up a pick 10+ for an up and coming ruckman that they know is the goods rather than chance it with a young kid.

The carrot for Warnock is he will be playing in a finals side rather than Melbourne but still is back with his family and friends. The carrot for us is that we would have another crack at a promising WA youngster, particularly before west coast's cheat pick, I mean priority pick.

Re:Trade Time
What about letting Jeff White come back and be a second ruckman to the big man we always seem to get the retirees here :)
Robbie is to good for a second ruckman shame to let him go though.

Re:Trade Time
Gee, that's real sad about ... what did you say his name was?

West Coast supporters must be gutted.

Re:Trade Time
Steve Armstrong certainly isn't the greatest player of all time Wizfan - but I do think it's incredibly ungrateful of The Enemy, given that he was the one who essentially kicked the goal that gave them that fluke flag.

I'm not amused by the attempts in some quarters to palm him onto us, either.

Re:Trade Time
As this is supposedly the best draft in ages (well since the 2000? one with Judd etc.), i doubt that any club will be willing to give up their first round pick - at all. Especially when the gold coast side gets picks 1,2,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 in 2010. That means that clubs will want to pick up some quality kids now.

On Warnock specifically, I don't think that anyone would give up a first round pick for him either, despite his quality. Second round probably. On that note, Melbourne's priority pick between the 1st two rounds could be a possibility?

1) Warnock will be back home, and with his brother - good for him
2) Melbourne don't give up the 1st overall pick - good for them
3) Melbourne get a ruckman - good for them
4) We get a high pick, I think before the slime. Good for us.

If they're willing, and Warnock wants to go doesn't mind going to such a useless side, then it's win-win-win...
