As my wife and I were herded into the back of the train carriage for the journey south by thousands of bitter and confused, yellow and blue striped wilderbeasts, we lay against each other in a glow that rivaled post coital bliss.

Staring out at the sunset, oblivious to the dejected commentary around me, my thoughts turned to a bronze atatue at the end of the Fremantle line. As I turned up my MP3 player I imagined the grin on the statue widening as his music bathed my ears.

Yes, thank you Freo, for allowing me to walk in to work tomorrow with head held high and make a casual stop at each budgie supporter's office and make sneering comments about how their team tried hard, gave it their best shot, but in the end just wasn't able to shake its hoodoo. This win won't do much for my prductivity, or my relationships with colleagues, but I know what's really important.

You all stood tall, the whole lot of you. Also with quite a few usually included players not playing yesterday you were MAGNIFICENT. We have so many MAGNIFICENT PLAYERS it must be very hard for the match committee. GOOD ON YOU ALL, BRILLIANT EFFORT. GO FREO!

Great stuff Freo and for all the abuse we've copped in the media over the past two weeks ir looks like we'll be 9th with the Tigers at subi next week. Thank you for giving us more ammo to abuse the weazles with and thank you for waiting until I got home from a uni exam during the second quarter to start dominating the little weazles. I'd also like to thank the four other people who showed up to uni wearing a freo jumper as I did. There was not a single person wearing any weazle memorabilia which goes to show how much passion the supporters of both sides have.

it was good fun sitting in the back of the old 3 teir stand in a group of about 10 really loud dockers fans. It was prety obvious the eagles regulars were not used to having opposition supporters in the patch. Very fragile they are and all so full of it.

Had a slime mate leave a message on my mobile saying "go the eagles" which I missed until early this morning. Replied with a huge "get stuffed" and the Freo Club song. Mate lost the plot when he got my reply and I couldn't even air his reply, manic.

Never going to delete his reply as it will haunt his in th e years to come and cost him many beers I am sure. Thankyou Freo, great win.
