so what was
Woosha whinging about on the ABC news?

A soundbite from his press conference and he's rabbitting on about

"some fans saying these are the most important games to win but where were they at the Grand Final"?

Now, I'm a level headed fairminded person with non denominational beliefs and an optimistic outlook but that struck me as pretty poor form considering that is the generalised thrust of the spin this week... but to trot that line out after losing is pretty small, really. Pretty small and pretty petty. Sour. Poor losing epitomised.

Re:so what was
I think he's trying to mention the premiership as often as possible before he gets sacked.

Re:so what was
Hey woosha, "would you like some cries with that"?

For him to make that sort of comment, this loss must have cut pretty deep

Re:so what was
Oh dear, better harden up a bit JW.

If Grand Final day was so good as you remember, why were the following 12 months after it, the lowest in your "great" club's history?

If you haven't been able to work it out yet, that great Grand Final day was an illusion.

Re:so what was
If I were an Eagles supporter I would be rattled right now. On field they look poor, off field they look like a rabbit in the headlights. In the last week alone we have seen:

- Nizzy (how can he still have a job?) white ant the coaching staff on Sun.
- Suma deliver the weakest attempt at mindgames I can recall on Mon.
- Woosh rolls out the dervy vs premiership gem this arvo.

Strength on and off the field? The mantra seems to be as hollow this year as it was previously, new breed or not. I look forward to Nizzy's coaching recommendation this week.

Re:so what was
Seems like the chemistry is just not like it used to be down there at the West Coast Eagles.

Re:so what was
Certainly sounds like sour grapes to me. Wuss and his fellow weazles have shown themselves to be the bad losers we all know they are. Hopefully we will get to see it much more often as they spiral towards the depths of the AWFL.

Re:so what was
Worsfold is feeling the pressure I reckon.

How can you go through what that club has gone through and not make any changes to the football department or at the top level - Gooding retired remember.

An independant commission has made its findings to the AFL and do you think there has been a bit of blame shifting/finger pointing going on behind the scenes as the guilty people down at west coast slip into self preservation mode? The club looks fractured and dispirited.

There isn't a rift between Worsfold and Nesbitt, its a canyon.

Who goes first, we should run a book on it.

Re:so what was
i actually thought of having a punt on worlsfold being first to go (as nisbett seems bullet proof and there is definitely something brewing) and from memory on sports bet he was about 25-1 to go first. it's not on the site now (being sunday night and all) but this is interesting from late 2006. bomber thompson fav. and woosha untouchable. who would have thought.

Re:so what was
Its hard to envisage them sacking little Johnny, but he might leave if he got a better offer. He's that type.
