Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
Port will probably get Josh for a 4th rounder. These type of deals are the some of the first ones that get done in trade week.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
On immediate face value I thought that Warnock and our pick 20 for Carlton's pick 6 would leave us a bit short-changed. When, however, I thought about it a bit more, I realised that if Carlton sends pick 6 to us, West Coast are going to have a hard time getting rid of Daniel Kerr.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
I would have thought jumping 14 spots up the draft up into the top 10 would be a result considering one way or another we are going to lose the bloke

Boxes...

they can give us truckloads of excellent boxes, all made from recycled material.

You can never have enough boxes, especially over summer.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
The thought of having picks 3 and 6 is making me feel a bit randy.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
I only got back here last night.

Not enough boxes up here. Keeps a place... tidy, y'know?

I'm with the Gloved One... two top 10 picks would make me dizzy.

Will Brendon Grylls be involved in the negotations?

Seriously I think Shane is on the money re what should be the Warnock deal.

Well the boxes are certainly tidying up the blues salary cap anyway

Trouble is you aren't sure if they're worth the paper they're printed on.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
We should take the boxes so long as they're all ticked.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
A top 10 draft pick is the answer.

Recognising Cameron Wood went from Brisbane to Collingwood for pick 14 last year. I would have thought Robbie would be worth more than Wood although it appears to be a stronger draft this year compared with last so it's hard to say.

Carlton have pick 6 so would have stump that up or acquire another first round pick to make it work.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
The best outcome would be a straight swap for pick 6.
Two picks in the top 10 is great, but 4 picks in the first two rounds including 3 and 6 would put us in a better position than a team with a priority pick. It also gives us a great opportunity to re-fill our list.
At first glance it seems like an impossible task to convince carlton to go one pick down but, if we play hard ball, they might realise that it would be stupid to let warnock go for the sake of pick 20.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
If Carlton is offering Warnock a million bucks over 3 years how is that not worth a pick inside the top 10? Carlton could be seen as dishonest if they want to push a lesser deal.

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
Carlton have 3 youg west aussies there - dennis armfield, davey ellard and luke blackwell, all very talented kids. Army certainly has the most **** in him and would be a great addition. perhaps pick 24 and one of these kids? ellard has only played 1 game, but if he's half as good as his old man was he'll be great. Luke blackwell has shown a lot but just cant crack their midfield now. Again he comes from good breeding stock with his old man former carlton champ wayne blackwell

Re:So... What Can Carlton Give Us?
I heard on the News last night that Carlton is considering a 4 year deal worth $1.6 mil. If they're prepared to offer that sort of deal to Nockers they must realise they have to make a reasonable deal with the Freo club.
