Re:Shaw resigns at Fremantle and will return to Victo
You all know that tediously funny joke about NZ and the last one out turning off the lights, right?

What I find incredible is these blokes leaving their families on the other side of the country to do a job.

It makes the FIFO deal seem pretty cushy!

Re:Shaw going home
Maybe we can get Sheeds over in some capacity. I doubt it but I am sure he would be great for the young guys development.

Re:Shaw going home
How about His Righteousness, Robert Walls.

He was the one who recruited the whole Brisbane 3-peat team before that mug Leigh Matthews came in for the glory right?

Someone would need to give him directions to Fremantle.

I think he would know shane. Seems to take aim at us each and every week.

Re:Shaw going home
Need to select a born & bred West Aussie to avoid the "go home for family reasons" syndrome that seems to be running rife at the moment
Why not utilise Macca or Belly in some capacity? What have we got to lose?

Re:Shaw going home
I'd imagine one of them is way over qualified and the other equally as under qualified.

I suppose it depends on whether you expect someone to do the job for the rest of their life. People leave jobs. Even people who were born in Hamilton Hill (although usually that's at the discretion of the Governor)..

Re:Shaw going home
Do you think with a ex Eagle CEO we may look at Tony Micale or poaching Sumich seeing that they are turning over some staff across the road. I'm not saying that I want them but just saying....Well OK, I know everyone will hate me for this but I think Sumich may have something to offer. I know he sounds like an idiot but he was their midfield coach when they were on song.

Re:Shaw going home
Their midfield looked a fair bit different when they were on song too. I reckon a small child could have coached that midfield as well as if not better than Suma.

Re:Shaw going home
I'm not sure you want your manager of football operations to have gained all his experience at a club who's poor player behaviour took them to the brink of deregistration.

Re:Shaw going home
Sounds better if you add a bit.

"I'm not sure you want your manager of football operations to have gained all his experience in overseeing the departure of two Brownlow Medallists, and a dual(?) runner-up, at a club who's poor player behaviour took them to the brink of deregistration."
