Fair enough - let's just trade for a pair of hips and a rocket pack for Kepler.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
If Freo want to treat the greats of the game arrogantly and disrespectfully like they have with the Wiz, then they’ve just added to the problem and handed the players a license to go wherever they wish regardless who has done what for them. All bets are now off as far as I am concerned and I don't blame Warnock one bit.

Not that Farmer’s axing probably had any direct bearing on Warnock’s actual decision, the fact is you can’t treat blokes like that and expect loyalty in return from others, especially youngsters worth a bit of money, who have just witnessed it.

I used to be filthy dark when players left our club, and I use the ‘our club’ term very loosely, because I am big on the loyalty factor but the rules have now changed. In AFL now loyalty is for suckers. Premierships and successes are possible bonuses along the way on road to individual riches.

From here on we should expect a lot more of this happening; players coming and going, and in today's game, the way it's heading and the lucrative amounts on offer, how can you compete and more so how can you blame players for their choices to chase the extreme offers in financial rewards?

Guys do you watch the same David Mundy i do?

I for one think he IS a bloke you want in your team. As for all that lazy nonsense about him, just check his tackle count, in the top 5 for our club i believe.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
You're being a bit precious there Greg.
The Farmer and Warnock issues have no relation other than the same club is involved. Warnock had already made his decision months before seasons end.
Long before Farmer's retirement, Nockers had already held discussions with the Dees and Tiges for crying out loud.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
I don't think losing Warnock is going to hurt us one bit.
That is unless we lose Sandilands to injury.
It's not the singular losing of Warnock , or a Mundy if that happens , or the disrespectable axing of Farmer or the numerous other retirements & delistings that have occured its the whole lot when you put them together that hurts.
The amount of new faces coming in is going to be a disruption of some sorts I would think.
Mundy is a bit slow but I reckon does have a good football brain & when thrown into the midfield towards the end of the season was a very good player for us.
On that note I wouldn't have said Hasleby or to a lesser note Palmer had pace but still manage to get plenty of the ball.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
Onwano, Freo were third last in tackling this year. I'm not sure that being in our top 5 is so special.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
Using that logic, Pav's goal tally wasn't special because Freo were third last in points For.

But shane, tackling is something everyone can do. Doesn't matter if we're playing well or not. Goal kicking isn't so easy.

Forget about Jeffrey he is gone and he 'was' a good player.
Warlock on the other hand is a girls blouse - maybe even a big girls blouse.

my question is why the super imposers at the west didn't get rid of his bad acne when they put his head on the carlton player.

Down to the real issues at last Lemon.

The Wiz isn't grumbling about the handling of his situation, which tells me the relationship with the club is healthy. Everyone else should get of their high horse.

Silence, I was attempting to separate the Warnock / Wiz issues. Others seem to think they are related.

To answer your question however, a long time after Warnock decided to leave Freo.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
I don't think Greg was saying Warnock left BECAUSE Jeff got dumped, but that given the way Jeff was treated we can hardly be self-righteous and demand an expression of loyalty from Warnock to the club.

So, no, 'tangent' still in play.

Re:Warnock Wants To Go Home
Lets stick with the facts:

Either: Warnock goes pre-season to Melbourne - we lose 3 years work and an no 42 (?) draft pick - oh well.

Or: Warnock gets traded and we WILL actually get above the odds. We get the value of what he MIGHT be, not what he is. For a guy that cost us little, has proven little and doesnt want to be here - bloody good deal I reckon!!

With Mundy - once again everyone reckons he's great (I dont see it) - so he should trade up nicely. And once again, if he wants to go - then we should want him to go!

Whether we get players or picks isnt important - just that we get at least what Warnock (unproven, 2nd string ruckman who doesnt want to be here) and Mundy (slow, disinterested half back who doesnt want to be here) are worth! And given that both seem to be over-valued that should be good for us.

It's Carlton for Warnock according to The Australian: click

UNCONTRACTED Fremantle ruckman Robert Warnock has indicated he would like to be traded to Carlton according to a report in Friday's Australian newspaper.
