I see we played in front of a "sell out crowd" of 35,000 odd. What happened to the other 8,000 or so?

Was it pissing down? Is Subi building a new grandstand (forgive me, I'm a long way away)?

Are all these no-shows a problem?

For starters it is a Friday night and I can't remember the last time we had a Friday night game at Subi - that would take care of most of the discrepancy I would think.

Not sure about that - I remember the Friday night game against the Pies in 2002 broke every Freo non-derby attendance record to that time. and you'd have thought with the new rail line etc we'd have got a huge turn-up. Maybe it might have been a late crowd, but for 8,000 people with tickets to not front is a worry.
