The retirees will be there and there is a long summer ahead of us all - I've got the lights wired on the ute and will be there with all pistons firing.

I have never, nor will I now, whoop anything up.

I think the only place they "whoop it up" is in Canada. But then they do a lot of strange things in the land of the Canook.

But, the sentiment is right. i'm sitting here in West Perth counting down the hours until I take a stroll to Subi for the last (pauses to brush aside a tear) game of the season.

A win would be a fitting finale to what has been a season chock full of promise but little delivery. Something to hold on to and give us a glimmer of hope during the long summer months.

C'mon on boys, give it to 'em good.

I would have thought a narrow loss after leading at three-quarter time would be a fitting finale.

I better finale, of course, would be a win.
